Smelly Feet Odor and How to Eliminate Them

It is both embarrassing and unpleasant to have smelly feet. The condition, medically known as bromodosis, affects millions of people worldwide. They aren’t fun and healthy for anyone, especially for the people around you.

What Causes Smelly Feet?

  • Your feet have more sweat glands than your other body parts do. Each foot can produce more than a pint of sweat in one day.
  • If you’re wearing shoes all day, you are more likely to sweat inside them. Your feet aren’t ventilated, so the perspiration stays inside your shoes. This causes the bacteria to break down the sweat and produce compounds that cause the foul odor.
  • Active lifestyle is also a cause of stinky feet in kids. Children sweat more compared to adults.
  • The inherited condition, hyperhidrosis, is also one cause of stinky feet in men, which causes them to perspire more than usual.
  • Stress, fungal infection, fluid intake, hormonal changes and some medications are also smelly feet causes.

Simple Treatment for Smelly Feet.
